Paris Motor Show 2018 in October to attract over a million visitors in its 120th edition

This year’s edition of the Paris Auto Show will be held between 04-14 October 2018, and comprehensively showcase the future of automobiles, motorcycles, mobility and auto tech. The oldest auto show in the world will be celebrating its 120th edition this year, and preview a range of futuristic technologies in the auto & mobility space.

The announcement was made by Mr. Jean-Marc FENET, Minister – Councelor, Head of Regional Economic Department at the Embassy of France and Mr. Jean-Claude GIROT, General Commissary, Paris Motor Show, at a curtain raiser event.

With mobility at its DNA, the show will feature a commemorative parade to mark the 120th year, and bring together close to 300 participating auto makers, with several digital innovations and disruptive technologies on display. There will be a supercar and luxury zone, an entire pavilion dedicated to motorcycles, a historical exhibition, a temporary museum, and a special zone for women that will host speakers, workshops, events and discussions featuring women from industries that are shaping the future of mobility.

A special dedicated B2B event would be the highlight of the Tech zone, which will focus on issues like Safety, Smart City Mobility, IoT, Urban Mobility, Ride Sharing, Cyber Security, In-Car Technologies, Flying Cars, Recycling, Big data, Virtual Reality, Solar Energy, and more.

A redesigned website, content matchmaking, enhanced use of digital and social media and an advertising campaign would be used to build buzz around the show over the next few months, promising an enhanced visitor experience.
