Mercedes-Benz has launched the ‘Made in India’ GLC Coupé in two variants, the 300d 4MATIC diesel and GLC 300 4MATIC petrol. This is the 10th global product in its local production portfolio in India.
The GLC Coupé is characterised by its dynamic appearance and elegant lines, with hallmark off-road features including the dominant front end, powerful forms and standard-fit chrome details like the front and rear underride guards. The stylish appearance combines the flexibility of an SUV with the sense of style and sportiness of a Coupé. The model owes much of its character to the diamond radiator grille, which is available in silver as standard, featuring a chrome trim incorporating formal elements of the underride guard. Other eye-catching features include the LED headlamps with their torch design and unmistakable light signature. The compact rear end features a new-look diffuser with underride guard and tailpipe trims as well as full-LED tail lamps.
The GLC Coupe combines outstanding on and off-road driving characteristics with spaciousness, practicality, innovative technologies and intelligent driving assistance systems. It embodies sportiness, safety and efficiency, and the interior is a study in contrast between elegance and technology; with the digital high-tech MBUX system and intelligent virtual in-car assistant, popularly known as ‘Hey Mercedes’.
The GLC 300 d Coupé has a BS 6 In-Line 4 cylinder diesel engine that churns out 245 hp power and 500 Nm of peak torque|, racing from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds. The GLC 300 Coupé has a BS 6 In-Line petrol engine that produces 258 hp and 370 Nm of torque and crosses the 100km/h mark a shade faster, in 6.3 seconds.
