The new BMW 530i M Sport variant launched at a price of INR 59.20 lacs
The design combines presence, aesthetic appeal and functionality in equal measure. The bold kidney grille slats and other accents in black high-gloss give the front an athletic effect. The M Sport package brings out the sporty character and powerful presence through M Aerodynamics package, which comprises of front apron with larger air intakes, side skirt trim and a diffusor-style rear apron in metallic dark shadow.
The tailpipes in chrome high-gloss add a dramatic touch of style, while the 18” M light-alloy wheels emphasise its dynamic character. The sporty appearance is further rounded out by the characteristic ‘M’ logo on the sides.
M Sport Package in the interior features leather sport seats and interior trims in aluminium with trim finishers in pearl chrome. As an exclusive feature, the vehicle key is designed with M strip. The sportiness is omnipresent, from the multifunction M leather steering wheel to illuminated M door sill finishers to the M Sport brake with blue callipers bearing the M logo. Ambient lighting package with six dimmable designs creates an atmosphere for every mood.
The BMW Display Key and Gesture Control make their way into the new 530i M Sport. The smartphone holder integrated into the centre console allows inductive wireless charging for mobile phones and the Display Key. Parking and manoeuvring is easier with the Parking Assistant along with Surround View Cameras and Park Distance Control. With the Remote Control Parking function, a driver can manoeuvre the vehicle into a narrow parking space from outside using the Display Key. The Comfort Access System enables ‘keyless’ opening and locking of the vehicle, and includes contactless opening of the boot lid with a quick wave of the foot under the rear bumper.
The petrol powered engine offers spirited power delivery as well as spontaneous responsiveness even at low engine speeds. The two-litre four cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 530i produces an output of 185 kW / 252 hp with a maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1,450 – 4,800 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 -100 km / hr in just 6.2 seconds.
The 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission is available with steering wheel paddle shifters. At any time, in any gear, the transmission collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency. Furthermore, the new BMW 530i M Sport comes with a Launch Control function as standard.
Driving comfort, ride quality and suspension is improved by the Dynamic Damper Control that stabilises all road surface irregularities. The Driving Experience Control switch allows the driver to choose between different driving modes – Comfort, Sport, Sport+, ECO PRO and Adaptive.
Safety features include six air bags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist, active PDC rear, dynamic stability control (DSC) including dynamic traction control (DTC), cornering brake control (CBC), hill descent control (HDC), side-impact protection, runflat tyres (RFT) with reinforced sidewalls, electronic vehicle immobiliser, crash sensor and integrated emergency spare wheel.
The BMW 5 Series is equipped with the most comprehensive technology packages to reduce fuel consumption and increase performance. The new BMW 530i M Sport is equipped with the multifunctional instrument display which visualises driving-related cockpit information in a style that reflects the selected driving mode, BMW iDrive Touch with handwriting recognition, a 10.25” navigation system with touch functionality, 16 speakers/ 600 watts surround sound system from Harman Kardon, BMW Apps, Apple CarPlay and connectivity through Bluetooth and USB.
