Mahindra Adventure unveils Season 8 Calendar
The Mahindra Adventure Calendar for Season 8 has been unveiled. It comprises a series of experiential marketing events throughout the year which include Great Escapes, Challenges, Multi-Day Expeditions like the Monastery Escape (11 days), Royal Escape (7 days), Authentic Bhutan (6 days), Himalayan Spiti (10 days), and the Everest Base Camp – The Summit (10 days).
Since inception in 2011, Mahindra Adventure functions as an umbrella brand to showcase the tough and rugged DNA of Mahindra vehicles through a series of adventure and motorsport events. Be it single-day off-road adventure or multi-day expeditions in India and abroad, it dwells in the spirit of adventure and has given many thrill seekers a trip of a lifetime.
The season this year begins with the Monastery Escape, which starts from Delhi and reaches Leh via the Manali-Leh route, with stops at Manali, Jispa and Tso Moriri. This expedition navigates some of the world’s highest mountain passes and lakes. After Leh, the event shifts its focus to Kargil, Zanskar Valley and Batalik. The curated drive offers accommodation, local cuisine and a chance to experience Mahindra’s tough and rugged 4WD SUVs.
Another event is the multi day expedition to the Everest Base Camp – The Summit. After a ceremonial flag off at Kathmandu, the convoy will set off towards Nyalam and Tibet, crossing the border into China through the iconic Friendship Bridge. Thereafter, the convoy will drive through Tibet, the ‘roof of the world’, to the forbidden city of Lhasa – home of the Potala palace and other monasteries.
Under the Great Escape brand this year, Trail Drive for two-wheel and four-wheel drive vehicles will be held at 10 locations. The off-road trophy rounds however are limited to five zones. The winners from each zone will compete at the Mahindra Off-Roading Trophy – Grand Finale and stand a chance to win a new Mahindra Thar CRDe 4×4.
A new event to the calendar this year is the ‘Desert Challenge’ in Rajasthan. It will feature dune tracks and off-road obstacles, with each team getting a 4WD Scorpios for the event.
Mahindra Adventure also participates in the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) in addition to other motorsport events across the country. More information is available at: www.mahindraadventure.com
