The Unexpected Star of Paris Fashion Week

In the heart of Paris, where haute couture reigns supreme, Jaguar made an unforgettable statement during Paris Fashion Week. The Jaguar Type 00, a bold and visionary concept car, became the unexpected star of the season, merging the worlds of luxury automobiles, art, and high fashion. With its dramatic proportions and bespoke French Ultramarine finish, the Type 00 dazzled onlookers and celebrities alike, embodying a new era of Jaguar’s design philosophy while paying homage to its storied heritage.
A Vision in Motion: The Type 00’s Parisian Debut
Making its first European appearance since its unveiling at Miami Art Week in December 2024, the Jaguar Type 00 graced the streets of Paris with its unmistakable presence. This was no static display—this automotive marvel was seen in motion, chauffeuring A-list celebrities to some of the most exclusive events of the week.
Irish actor Barry Keoghan, celebrated for his role in Saltburn, arrived at The Peninsula Paris in style after attending Valentino’s show. The following day, Jamie Dornan—actor, model, and musician—was spotted stepping out of the Type 00 at the iconic Hôtel Plaza Athénée before heading to Loewe’s presentation. The grand finale came when Oscar-winning actress Zoë Saldaña made her chic entrance dressed in Yves Saint Laurent, driven by her husband Marco Perego-Saldaña. Each arrival turned heads, as crowds gathered to capture glimpses of this extraordinary vehicle.

Social media platforms buzzed with videos and images of the Type 00 gliding through Parisian streets. Its bold design and fearless form became a talking point among fashion enthusiasts and automobile aficionados alike.

French Ultramarine: A Tribute to Art and Culture
At the core of the Type 00’s allure is its bespoke French Ultramarine finish—a color deeply rooted in French art history. Inspired by ultramarine blue pigments prized during the Renaissance for their rarity and prestige, this shade has been reimagined by Jaguar’s materiality team. The result is a satin-like metallic finish that enhances the car’s sculptural lines and exuberant proportions.
This artistic approach to automotive design underscores Jaguar’s commitment to blending innovation with cultural heritage. By choosing French Ultramarine for its Paris debut, Jaguar not only celebrates France’s artistic legacy but also positions itself as a brand that transcends traditional boundaries.
The Golden Triangle: Jaguar’s New Luxury Home
Paris Fashion Week also marked another milestone for Jaguar: the announcement of a new luxury brand store in Paris’s Golden Triangle—the epicenter of fashion and opulence in the city’s 8th arrondissement. This exclusive retail space will offer personalized experiences tailored to clients’ lifestyles while embracing Paris’s rich heritage in art and luxury fashion.
Rawdon Glover, Managing Director of Jaguar, emphasized this vision: “Jaguar will come to life in a select number of these exclusive brand stores, located where clients live, work, and play. They allow us to build direct client relationships and offer unique and personalized experiences.”
The Paris store is part of Jaguar’s broader transformation strategy—one that blends tradition with modernity while maintaining its ethos as a “copy of nothing,” a principle established by founder Sir William Lyons.

A New Era for Jaguar
The Type 00 is more than just a concept car; it is a manifesto for Jaguar’s future. Fearlessly unique and emotionally engaging, it represents the brand’s highest level of creative ambition. From its unveiling in Miami to its triumph at Paris Fashion Week, the Type 00 signals a bold new identity for Jaguar—one that respects its past while inspiring what lies ahead.
As Paris Fashion Week draws to a close, one thing is clear: luxury is no longer confined to runways or ateliers. With the Type 00, Jaguar has proven that true artistry knows no bounds—it can be sculpted into metal, painted in ultramarine hues, and set into motion on the streets of one of the world’s most fashionable cities.
