Mahindra rolls out 7 lac vehicles from Haridwar Plant

Mumbai, 29 September 2015: In less than 10 years, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has achieved a production milestone of 7 lac vehicles from its  automotive plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

Inaugurated in December 2005, the plant is Mahindra’s sole automotive plant in North India and manufactures the Bolero, Scorpio S2, Gio (passenger & load), Alfa (passenger & load) and Champion. For the past two years, it has earned the distinction of having one of the highest production capacities amongst other automotive plants of Mahindra.

Mahindra has a presence in almost every segment of the automobile industry from commercial vehicles (3 wheelers/ light commercial vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles), utility vehicles, sports utility vehicles (from entry level to premium SUVs), sedans and electric vehicles. The company’s automotive manufacturing facilities are located in Chakan, Nasik, Haridwar, Zaheerabad, Kandivali and Igatpuri (engine plant) and are fully equipped in the Press Shop, Body Shop, CED Line, Paint Shop and Assembly facilities.
