NEXA opens its 100th showroom within six months of launch

Mumbai, 22 January 22 2016: The new retail channel from Maruti Suzuki has had a mixed response so far, but the company seems undeterred and is aggressively going about its expansion plans. Targeted at an emerging segment of urban customers who prefer personal attention and a bit of pampering, NEXA has now opened its 100th outlet at Thane (South) in Mumbai, within six months of launch.

NEXA combines trained manpower, technology, showroom ambience and processes to meet expectations of a growing segment of middle class car buyers who value personal care, warmth and attention in their car buying and ownership experience. The company plans to expand the number of NEXA outlets to 250 by next year and reach out to a broader range of customers across the country.

NEXA has been one of the most significant initiatives by Maruti Suzuki to achieve its target of selling two million vehicles per annum by 2020. Currently, the S-Cross and Baleno are sold exclusively through NEXA. While the former has had a tepid response, Baleno has been a runaway success. Over 45000 units of these models have been sold so far through the NEXA showrooms.
