Exterior

Based on the global MQB platform, the new improved 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan has a striking exterior design with a muscular bumper, piano black finish inserts, and a broad radiator grille that displays the VW logo. The intelligent and adaptive LED matrix headlights provide good visibility and comfort in different light conditions and driving modes. At the rear, it features dark LED combination tail lamps with new light signatures. The tail-light cluster includes a switch function for the LEDs, effectively warning following traffic when braking.

Performance

Under the hood, the Tiguan is powered by a 2.0L TSI engine paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel-drive technology. The engine delivers peak power output of 190PS (140 kW) and peak torque of 320 Nm. The Tiguan offers superior acceleration and a fun-to-drive experience with a fuel efficiency of 13.54 kmpl (ARAI certified), a 7% improvement.

Interiors and features

Class-leading comfort and convenience come together with premium interiors, that include a customisable 25.40 cm digital cockpit, a 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control, and an advanced reverse camera with four different views for easy parking. The Tiguan's panoramic sunroof creates an expansive cabin space, and the easy open and close boot feature offers a 615L storage capacity.

Safety

Safety features include rear seat belt reminders, along with six airbags, ABS, ESC, ASR, EDL, EDTC, hill start assist, hill descent control, active TPMS, 3 headrests at the rear, 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX x2, and driver alert systems. These active and passive safety features ensure the security of occupants and pedestrians.

Colours and more

Customers can choose from five exterior color options: Nightshade Blue, Oryx White with Pearl effect, Deep Black, Dolphin Grey, and Reflex Silver. It is now available in the 'Elegance' variant and the updated Tiguan will be available across a network of 157 sales and 124 service touch points in 115 Indian cities.
