Hyundai unveils the new Tucson at Auto Expo 2020
Hyundai unveiled the new 2020 Tucson on Day 01 at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. With its premium and bold styling, dominant performance, smart technology and comfort, along with enhanced connectivity and advanced safety, the premium SUV is a well rounded package, powered by 2.0L petrol and diesel BS6 engines.
The design of the new Tucson stands out thanks to its striking fascia with a cascade design front grille, and its sleek rear surface. This is complemented with penta-projector LED headlamps and LED tail lamps, and the flared wheel arches add substance to the lower end of the body. The twin tip exhaust enhances its sporty stance, while the panoramic sunroof adds to its premium appeal.
The interior sports a premium black colour theme with leather touch on the dashboard.
The 2.0L diesel powertrain is mated to a new 8 speed automatic transmission and has a performance output of 185PS nd 40.8 KGM of torque. The 2.0L petrol engine delivers 152PS power and 19.6 KGM torque, offering a power packed driving experience.
The 2020 Tucson has some smart technology on board, such as advanced tyre pressure monitoring system, smart power tailgate, electric parking brake first-in-segment power seats (8-way for passenger) and wireless charging.
The new 20.32 cm floating HD touchscreen information system offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, Hyundai iblue and voice recognition. The Infinity premium speakers offer high quality in-cabin entertainment and the Hyundai Blue Link connectivity solution helps with safety, vehicle management, alert services and location based services.
In terms of safety, the 2020 Tucson has a strong body structure with 70% Sigh Steel Strength (AHSS+HSS) and comes equipped with 6 Airbags, Pretensioner and Load limiter, Side & Curtain Airbag, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control, Brake Assist, Front & Rear Parking Sensors and Anti-Lock Braking System.
