Triumph Motorcycles brings the 2019 Street Twin and Street Scrambler to India
Two new Triumph motorcycles were launched in India. The iconic British premium motorcycling brand has launched its new Street Twin and Street Scrambler in India, at an ex-showroom price of INR 7.45 lacs and INR 8.55 lacs respectively.
Both bikes come with a new set of equipments and additional features, offering enhanced rider comfort with better ergonomics.
Powered by the upgraded 900cc Bonneville engine that has been tuned for better performance, both the Street Twin and the Street Scrambler get a 18% power increase up to 10PS and Brembo 4-piston brake callipers. The higher revving engine offers 80Nm torque with better mid-range performance.
The liquid cooled engine delivers low emissions and fuel efficient riding, with high service intervals of 16,000 kms, making cost of ownership significantly lower. And Ride-by-wire brings enhanced ride-ability, safety and control from a single throttle body.
The Street Twin has been the single largest selling modern classic in the Triumph Bonneville line-up. It now offers improved ergonomics with a more comfortable seat-to-foot riding position, thanks to a 10mm increase in the seat foam thickness. It comes with two riding modes – rain and road along with switchable traction control with a torque assist clutch. The upswept twin silencers deliver the unmistakable Twin soundtrack and there are several custom accessories and kits that go a long way in making the Street Twin a very personalised experience.
The Street Scrambler is designed for easy handling and an agile ride, and the 2019 model comes with an updated chassis and suspension that enhances its ride and style. It comes with the signature Scrambler wide handlebars, forward set foot pegs, and a 19″ spoked front wheel with dual purpose Metzeler Tourance tyres fitted as standard. Ride-by-wire brings stability, safety and control from a single throttle body. The Street Scrambler comes with three riding modes – rain, road and off-road, in addition to switchable ABS and traction control. With over 120 custom accessories and a new ‘Urban Tracker’ inspiration kit, this one too can be personalised to precise details.
Along with the bikes, Triumph India also announced the launch of a new 2-year extended warranty program that would be globally accepted across dealerships.
