Maruti Suzuki launches refreshed Ciaz at a starting price of INR 8.19 lacs

Maruti Suzuki’s premium sedan Ciaz has got a makeover. In its new avatar, the Ciaz comes with a new 1.5L K15 petrol engine and a smart hybrid system with lithium-ion battery. The diesel version is powered by the 1.3L DDiS Smart Hybrid engine.

The new Ciaz has a refreshed frontal design with a new grille & bumper, LED projector headlamps with DRLs and LED front fog lamps. The rear features LED combination lamps, and there are elegant chrome bezels on the front and the rear. The sedan sits on 16″ precision cut alloy wheels in dual tone metallic pebble grey finish.

The interior features new Birch blonde wood grain accents, with sophisticated low gloss finish
satin chrome highlights on the dashboard & door trims. There is a new 4.2” multi-information coloured TFT display with eco illumination in the speedometer, which changes colour based on the driving pattern.

The new K15 petrol powertrain offers 13% more power and 6% more torque than its predecessor, with peak power of 77kW@6000 rpm and torque of 138Nm@4400 rpm.

The advanced Smart Hybrid Technology with Lithium-ion battery in all petrol variants is a segment first. Compact and designed for longer service life, it contributes to improved fuel efficiency of 21.56 km/l in manual petrol variants and 28.09 km/l in diesel. It offers torque assist, idle start/ stop and brake energy regeneration as some of its salient features.

Other features include cruise control, auto headlamp and auto headlamp levelling. Safety feature include high speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors, driver and passenger seat belt reminder alert, ISOFIX child seat restraint system, dual airbags, ABS with EBD as standard. Electronic stability program (ESP) with ‘hill hold’ function comes standard in automatic variants.

The range starts from INR 8.19 lacs for the manual petrol variant, and goes up to INR 10.97 for the petrol automatic. The diesel manual range starts at INR 9.19 lacs and goes up to INR 10.97 lacs.

The new Ciaz will be retailed through the NEXA network.
