Jeep Compass crosses the magical 10,000 mark in just 4 months
Jeep Compass has crossed the milestone of 10,000 unit sales in India, within just four months of its launch. Inspite of a global recall for an airbag malfunction issue earlier this month, there seems to be no stopping for this Made in India SUV, which has been winning hearts across the country. It was launched on 31 July 2017 in three trims – Sport, Longitude and Limited; and there are 10 variants with 2.0L Turbo Diesel and 1.4L Turbo Petrol Multiair powertrain options, with 4×4 and 4×2 derivatives available in the range.
The Jeep Compass has proved to be a popular SUV in a short span of time and has won some significant industry awards as well. The aggressive price positioning has also worked in its favour. The first batch of 600 units were recently shipped to Japan and Australia in October this year, and the SUV is already on sale in Japan.
Effective 01 January 2018, prices for the Compass will increase by 2-4%, except for the entry level variant which will be maintained at INR 15.16 lacs (ex-showroom).
The Jeep Compass comes with a 3-year/ 100,000 kms manufacturer warranty and a service cycle of 15,000 kms/ 1 year.
