Hyundai launches the 2015 Elantra at INR 14.13 lacs

Hyundai Motor announced the launch of its refreshed version of the Elantra in a more stylish and distinctive avatar, to complete its new portfolio of Modern Premium products for the Indian customers. The 2015 Elantra includes exemplary safety features and boasts of high efficiency while delivering an enhanced level of driving pleasure with its sporty and agile handling.

The design of the new Elantra features the ‘fluidic sculpture’, with the hexagonal radiator grille, sleek dynamic lines and deep grooves flowing from the front to rear, giving it a sporty profile and a dynamic rear end. Exterior highlights include a bold front bumper and chrome insert grille, a new two-tone rear bumper, chrome tipped exhaust, 16-inch 10 spoke alloy wheels and chrome moulding, projector headlamps with LED light guide, trendy fog lamps, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVM, chrome door handles and a Park Assist System.

The sporty black interior come with full leather seats, front seat ventilation, metallic scuff plates, aluminum pedals and an ergonomically positioned console box with arm rest and rear AC vents. The multimedia system has a new generation touch audio with 4.3” color TFT LCD display and steering mounted controls that connect mobile devices via Bluetooth® and has an integrated rear camera display. Auto Headlamps, Smart Key with push button start, Auto Cruise Control, 10 way power seats with lumber support complete the luxury trims.

The Elantra is built to meet the most stringent safety requirements and ensures maximum protection for occupants. Safety features include 6 Airbags, Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist Control, Electro Chromic Mirror, Rear View Camera, Rear Parking Sensors and Front and rear disc brake.

The 2015 Elantra comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The 1.8 Dual VTVT Petrol delivers a maximum power of 149.5ps @6500rpm and torque of 18.1kgm @4700rpm; while the 1.6 VGT CRDi Diesel delivers a maximum power of 128ps @4000rpm and torque of 26.5kgm @1,900~2,750rpm.

ARAI certified mileage for the petrol version is 16.3 km/l (MT) and 14.34 km/l (AT). For the diesel version, the mileage figures are a best in segment 22.7 km/l (MT) and 19.11 km/l (AT).

Ex-showroom prices (ex-Delhi) for the petrol version start at INR 14,13,196 and go up to INR 16,49,906; and the diesel version starts at  INR 14,57,677 and goes up to INR 17,94,179.
