MG Motor will soon launch a Smart EV in India, and it has been named ‘Comet’. The name derives inspiration from the iconic 1934 British airplane which participated in the England-Australia MacRobertson Air Race.
The ‘Comet’ is a micro EV that comes at a time when driving in congested urban cities is becoming increasingly stressful and needs agile and futuristic solutions amidst skyrocketing fuel costs, sparse parking spaces, and increasing pollution. The ‘Comet’ will provide seamless mobility which is connected, automatic, electric and shared; and help reduce environmental impact, save costs, and offer more convenience and comfort.
Comet will be the smallest car on Indian roads and the three-door four-seater electric vehicle comes in a range of bright new age colours. It is likely to be launched in the middle of 2023. Though prices have not been revealed yet, the introductory price is expected to be in the sub INR 10.0 lac range.
Stay tuned for more.
