Ferrari 296 GTB makes its debut in New Delhi at a price of INR 5.40 crore
The Ferrari 296 GTB is an evolution of Ferrari’s mid-rear-engined two-seater sports berlinetta concept. The 2-seater Gran Turismo Berlinetta represents a revolution for the Maranello-based company as it introduces the new 120° V6 engine coupled with a plug-in (PHEV) electric motor capable of delivering up to 830 cv. The car defines the idea of driving fun to provide pure excitement not only when pursuing maximum performance but also in everyday driving.
Powered by a 645 hp 3.0L twin-turbo V6 mid-rear engine, coupled with a 166hp electric motor, it sprints from 0-100 in just 2.9 s. This is the first 6-cylinder engine installed on a road car sporting the Prancing Horse badge, delivering peak performance and an exhilarating soundtrack.
The 296 GTB’s plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system cuts pedal response time to zero and delivers a 25 km range in all-electric eDrive mode. The compact dimensions, dynamic control systems and meticulously honed aero ensures astonishing agility and responsiveness to commands. Combined with its drool worthy road presence, the 296 GTB is a stunning fusion of form and function in metal.
The name combines the total displacement (2.992 l) and number of cylinders with the GTB acronym (Gran Turismo Berlinetta), and stays true to the finest Ferrari tradition.
The Ferrari 296 GTB is priced at INR 5.40 crore and available exclusively at Select Cars, New Delhi – Ferrari’s official importer in the capital city.
