19th edition of the MercedesTrophy tees off from Mumbai

India’s longest running amateur golf tournament, the MercedesTrophy 2019 teed off from the Bombay Presidency Golf Club, between 23-25 January, 2019.

Now in its 19th edition, the tournament will travel to 11 cities and witness participation from over 2200 amateur golfers in India. Three golfers, one winner from each of the three handicap categories, will represent India in a world finals at Stuttgart in Germany.

Among the many prizes on offer, one lucky winner will get an all expenses paid trip to the British Open later this year. Mercedes-Benz has again joined hand with their global charity partner, Laureus Sport for Good Foundation through MercedesTrophy to raise funds for its programmes in India. While participants can donate online or on-ground at the tournament venue, Mercedes-Benz India Limited will donate an equal amount to match the funds raised from participants.

Alongside the tournament, Mercedes-Benz is also providing an opportunity to beginners to learn golf through Golf Clinics.

2019 marks 25 years of operations of the MB brand in India, and year-long customer centric initiatives have been planned to mark the occasion.
