Mahindra Electric and Zoomcar to offer self-drive EVs in Mumbai

Mahindra Electric and Zoom Car launch the electric self drive initiative in Mumbai

Mahindra Electric and Zoomcar have extended their service of offering EVs as shared mobility solution to the city of Mumbai. The initiative is aimed at promoting connected, shared and electric mobility as a model, in line with NITI Aayog’s recommendations on the government’s 2030 vision.

Mahindra will initially offer 50 e2oPlus vehicles on the Zoomcar platform in Maharashtra and raise it to 100 EVs by the next quarter. The vehicles were flagged off on the platform at the iconic Gateway of India, in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis. The initiative also coincides with Maharashtra government’s announcement of their EV policy.

The vehicles under this initiative are financed as a part of larger financing arrangement between Zoomcar and LeasePlan, which will see Zoomcar obtain customised EV financing. Mahindra Finance continues to be the financing partners in various other cities for Zoomcar & Mahindra Electric for EV financing.
