#AutoExpo2018: Renault showcases its breathtaking electric concept TREZOR
The TREZOR blends Renault’s simple and sensual design language with the very latest innovations in interior experience, all-electric powertrain and autonomous driving. TREZOR has been awarded as the ‘Most Beautiful Concept Car’ at several global platforms and has been Renault’s showstopper at leading global auto shows. Its presence at the Auto Expo 2018 underscores the importance of India in Renault’s global growth plans.
The TREZOR, an electric coupe, stands at 4.7 metres long, 2.18 metres wide and 1.08 metres high, and is driven by an electric motor derived from the Renault e.dams, a two-time winner of the Formula E Teams’ world title. Renault has aimed to create an elevated interior experience, and the TREZOR combines high quality leather and wood to create a cabin that is highly driver focused. The primary cabin colour is red, and with its blend of craftsmanship, technology and a unique French design language, the TREZOR is a glimpse into what Renault’s cabins could look like in the future.
Also showcased was the ZOE e-Sport Concept, a fully electric concept car that has the sporting credentials of a performance car. Apart from the car’s aggressive styling and the same striking blue livery, the ZOE e-Sport Concept also has the technology to back up its claims. The bodywork of the car is made entirely from lightweight carbon fibre, ensuring 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The car tips the scales at 1,400 kilograms, which includes 450 kilograms of batteries. With the ZOE e-Sport Concept, Renault proves that being environment friendly doesn’t always mean slow and boring. Renault’s pavilion at the Auto Expo 2018 also featured entries from ‘Design Academy India’, its initiative to nurture fresh talent in car design.
