#AutoExpo2018: Mercedes showcases its strength with the Maybach S650, E-Class All Terrain & Concept EQ

Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, 07 February 2018: After a successful 2017 which saw it consolidate its position as India’s top luxury automobile brand, Mercedes Benz India showcased its supremacy at the Auto Expo 2018 with two new launches – the Maybach S650 and and the all new E-Class All Terrain. The company also unveiled Concept EQ, which is an all-electric SUV and Mercedes’ vision for the future.

Ever since Mercedes Benz revived the legendary Maybach brand name, they have delivered stunning and luxurious cars which aim to be at the pinnacle of sophistication and comfort. And the new S650 is no exception. With a new V12 petrol motor that produces 630 BHP and a staggering 1000 Nm of torque, the Maybach S650 is amongst the fastest luxury sedans in the world right now. This bespoke piece of sculpted metal is garnished with some of the finest wood and leather trims that makes for an ultra luxurious cabin. It now gets a revised interior and a new headlamp design, firmly placing itself at the top of the heap to be the flagship of the Mercedes Benz lineup. It offers endless customisability options and a luxury experience second to none.

Also unveiled at the Mercedes Benz pavilion was the new E-Class All Terrain, a rugged and off-road capable version of the much loved E-Class sedan. With its flared arches, robust lines and daunting front grille, the E-Class All Terrain cuts the figure of an aggressive looking estate. The rugged styling is matched with superior off road capabilities, thanks to the Dynamic Select drive selector which comes with an All Terrain mode. The E-Class all terrain expands the company’s portfolio and gives customers the best of luxury and adventure, nudging you to go anywhere, in style.

The Concept EQ was also unveiled in India for the first time. With this, Mercedes Benz shows how electric cars can soon move into the fast lane, without any compromise whatsoever. The concept vehicle with the appearance of a sporty SUV gives a preview of a new generation of vehicles with battery-electric drives. With an electro-based design philosophy and a driver oriented cabin which utilises touch-based controls, the Concept EQ is a glimpse into an all-electric future for Mercedes Benz.
