#AutoExpo2018: Kia announces India launch with the SP Concept and 16 global models on display

Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, 07 February 2018: Kia unveiled the striking new SP Concept, which made its world premiere at AutoExpo 2018, alongside 16 other global models on display.The SP Concept is inspired by Indian heritage and driven by advanced technology, and provides a glimpse of what’s in store for motoring enthusiasts once Kia kicks off retail sales in India, in the second half of 2019.

The futuristic SUV is aimed at young Indian consumers with its combination of beauty, technology and functionality. It has a wide and stable stance, the hallmark ‘Tiger nose’ grille, distinctive lamp design, a long hood profile and an overall sporty character.

The interior marries an advanced sensual style and dynamic sensibility with a differentiated layout that enhances convenience. The actual production car is likely to be very close to the concept on display.

Kia’s line up at the Auto Expo 2018 includes the Picanto city car, the sporty and practical Rio, the crossover Stonic, the stylish Cerato, the award winning 5-door Cee’d with a sporty coupé silhouette, the fully electric Soul EV, the elegant Cadenza, the head-turning performer Stinger, the powerful Mohave, the spacious 7-seater Sorento, the passenger car-type SUV Sportage, the Grand Carnival, the Niro Plug In Hybrid and the Optima Hybrid.
