The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler unveiled ahead of LA Auto Show

Los Angeles, 29 November 2017: The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler has been unveiled ahead of its official debut at the 2017 LA Auto Show and will be available in Jeep showrooms by January 2018. The modern design of the legendary SUV stays true to the original authentic Jeep, and comes with a combination of off-road capabilities, open-air freedom, advanced fuel-efficient powertrains, superior on & off-road dynamics, and over 75 safety features and advanced technology.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-door model is available in three different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S and Rubicon; while the Wrangler 4-door models are available in four different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.

Engine options include an all-new 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, the 3.6L Pentastar V-6 engine with Engine Stop-Start (ESS) and a new 3.0L EcoDiesel V-6 with ESS that produces 260bhp power and 600Nm of torque. The two transmission offerings include an eight-speed automatic (available on all models) and a six-speed manual gear box.

In terms of design, the new Jeep Wrangler is instantly recognizable with its keystone-shaped grille, iconic round headlamps, square tail lamps, wide stance and lowered beltline. It is rugged yet distinguished, with improved aerodynamics, convenient fold-down windshield and dozens of different door, top and windshield combinations. It features the Sky One-Touch powertop, that allows occupants to retract the full-length open canvas roof with a push of a button.

The interior has precision craftsmanship and high-quality materials with a heritage-inspired center stack, hand-wrapped instrument panel with a soft-touch surface with accent stitching on Wrangler Sahara models. Functional features including climate and volume control knobs, media charging and connectivity ports and Engine Stop Start (ESS) control. The AC vents are surrounded by a platinum chrome bezel and the push-button starter featuring a weather-proof surround, makes its debut. Cloth & leather-contoured seats (variant specific) feature accent stitching, adjustable bolster and lumbar support. Comfort features include heated front seats and steering wheel.

There is a choice of 5.0″, 7.0″ or 8.4″ touch-screen panels with pinch-and-zoom capabilities that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and provides all communication, entertainment and navigation support.

Safety features include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection, ParkView rear backup camera, electronic stability control (ESC) and four standard air bags.

The new Wrangler boasts of up to 30″ of water fording capability and sits on 17″ off-road wheels;  while the Rubicon models get 33″ tires as standard.
