Pre-bookings open for Jeep Compass

Mumbai, 19 June 2017: Pre-bookings for the Made in India Jeep Compass are now open. The most awaited SUV of the year can now be booked either through the company’s website www.jeep-india.com or through Fiat & Jeep-exclusive showroom with a pre-booking amount of INR 50,000.The Compass is being manufactured at the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) facility in Ranjangaon, near Pune, and will be available in three trims – ‘Sport’, ‘Longitude’ and the top of the line ‘Limited’. It will be available in two options: 4×2 and 4×4, and five colours: Minimal Grey, Exotica Red, Hydro Blue, Vocal White and Hip Hop Black.

There will be two powertrain options; the 160+ HP, 250 Nm multi-air petrol and the 170+ HP, 350 Nm diesel. The SUV will have an option of the 6-speed manual transmission (petrol and diesel) and the 7-speed Dual Dry Clutch Technology Automatic or DDCT (petrol). Both engines will be scalable to BS VI regulatory requirements in India.

The 4×4 Compass will be equipped with Jeep Active Drive and Selec-Terrain Traction Management System with a Driveline Disconnect Technology (DDT), which disconnects the drive that goes to the rear wheels automatically when not required. Electric Parking Brake (EPB) will be available across the range.

With more than 50 safety and security features, the Jeep Compass will be one of the safest SUVs on Indian roads. Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Dynamic Steering Torque (DST), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Adaptive Brake Lights and Panic Brake Assist are standard across the range. The Compass Limited 4×4 will be equipped with six airbags with dual stage passenger airbags.

Jeep Compass for India and international markets will be of identical quality and build.
