Porsche adds Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel to its Platinum Edition range
Both models feature high-quality equipment and are available in four optional metallic paint finishes: Jet Black, Mahogany, Carrara White and Rhodium Silver. The exterior package includes Bi-Xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System, sporty touches in high-gloss black, wheel arch extensions in the vehicle colour and 21″ alloys, which now come as standard.
Eight-way adjustable leather sports seats with Alcantara centre from the Cayenne GTS, front and rear Park-Assist, and automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors are some of the other features that add to the luxury of a long-distance cruise. The inscription ‘Platinum Edition’ is prominently placed on the front door entry guards, whilst all outer headrests bear a Porsche crest.
Front seats come with heating option and the range is equipped with the Porsche Communication Management infotainment, which includes Navigation and a BOSE Surround Sound System. Another feature typical of this edition is the sporty analogue clock on the dashboard.
Power and consumption values for the Platinum Edition models remain the same as before. The 420 hp 3.6-litre six-cylinder bi-turbo engine in the Cayenne S consumes between 9.8 and 9.5 litres of fuel every 100km, whereas the V8 engine with twin turbocharging in the Cayenne S Diesel generates 385 hp and consumes between 8.2 and 8.0 litres of diesel every 100km.
