All variants of Volkswagen Polo and Vento now come with ABS and dual airbags as standard fitment

Mumbai, 29 November 2016: With the introduction of ABS and dual airbag as standard fitments in all variants of Polo and Vento, Volkswagen has reaffirmed its commitment towards safety standards that are intrinsic to the brand’s DNA. With this development, all Volkswagen carlines in India are now available with ABS and dual airbags as standard.
While the Polo, Ameo and Vento come with dual airbags, the Volkswagen Beetle is equipped with 4 airbags and the Jetta and GTI have 6 airbags respectively. Recently, Polo secured a 4-star safety rating for adult occupant protection in crash tests conducted by a renowned global agency; which is the highest safety rating for any car in the premium hatchback segment in the country. On the other hand, the Ameo which was launched earlier this year, is the first car in the compact sedan segment to standardize dual front airbags and ABS across all variants.
For Volkswagen, adopting global safety standards with these added features sets new benchmarks, and ensures a ‘Safe Driving Experience’ for customers across all carlines.
