The new BMW 520d M Sport launched in India, with fresh accents for better sporting performance

Gurgaon: The new BMW 520d M Sport was launched in India today at an all India ex-showroom price of INR 54.0 lacs for the diesel variant, which will be locally produced at BMW Plant Chennai.

Sporty and dynamic, the new BMW 520d M Sport embodies the athletic form of luxury and elegance. The aerodynamics package and 18″ light alloys with a double spoke design enhances driving dynamics and lend a powerful appearance. The front apron now has even more presence, the side sports additional contour lines and the rear apron has exhaust pipe finishers in Dark Chrome and a striking diffusor in Dark Shadow metallic. The Adaptive LED Headlights, ‘M’ badge on front wings and M designation on the door sill strip completes the package.

The interior has electrically adjustable sports front seats in leather with contrasting seams and a multifunction M steering wheel.

It is powered by a 1995cc four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that delivers a power output of 140 kW/ 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque. It takes 7.7 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/hr and has a top speed is 233 km/h. The eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters collaborates perfectly with the engine, enabling it to develop its full power and efficiency.

The BMW 520d M Sport is equipped with a comprehensive technology package to reduce fuel consumption and increase driving dynamics; such as Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO modes (ECOPRO, Comfort, Sport), Brake-Energy Regeneration, 50:50 Weight Distribution and such.

On the safety front, it has 6 air bags, Anti-Lock braking system, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC); Cornering Brake Control (CBC); Hill Descent Control (HDC); Side-impact Protection; Electronic vehicle immobiliser, emergency spare wheel and crash sensor.

A multifunction instrument display, on-board Driver Information System with a 25.9 cm color display, Navigation system with 3D maps, BMW Apps, Park Distance Control, Rear View Camera and Connectivity through Bluetooth/ USB devices keeps you connected with the vehicle and the world outside as you cruise along.
