Season 6 of Mahindra Great Escape kickstarts in Lonavala
Lonavala, 02 July 2016: The first Mahindra Great Escape of Season 6 concluded at Lonavala today, with over 70 Mahindra 4WD vehicles negotiating the arduous and slushy terrain along the challenging route. The rally was flagged off from 19 Degree North at Lonavala and saw participation from Mahindra vehicles including the Bolero, Scorpio, Legend and the Mahindra Thar CRDe 4×4.
Mahindra Great Escape is one of India’s most popular off-roading adventures, and this year, the competitors got a chance to demonstrate their off-road driving skills through four stages of obstacles – The Crab, The Quarry, The Hill Climb and Rocky Drop. These included off-roading through the river bed, making trails over rock boulders and driving out of slush pits.

Modified Category- Winner: P Krishna Reddy
Ladies Category- Winner: Maithili K. S. Bhobe
The winners from Lonavala will join winners from the other upcoming Great Escapes in Goa, Sakleshpur, Hyderabad, Vagamon, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Chennai, Chandigarh and Shillong to compete against each other for the trophy at the finals.
