After teaming up with Aston Martin, LeEco explores partnership with Daimler

New Delhi/ Bangalore, 02 March 2016: Daimler AG and LeEco are likely to get together to explore the future of automobile in the form of the internet-based electric vehicle.

Hubertus Troska, Chairman and CEO of Daimler Greater China and Hans Georg Engel, the head of Daimler’s Chinese R&D facilities recently visited LeEco’s Beijing headquarter and met with Liu Hong, co-founder and COO of LeEco and Ding Lei, co-founder of LeEco Super Car and Global vice president of LeEco.

Both sides talked about possible cooperation on electric car power system, car-sharing project, smart-driving and O2O. Benz as a traditional auto company has realized the coming of the “new world” and the fact that electric, smart, socialized and internet-connected vehicles would take dominant position in automobile industry in the near future. The Daimler executives particularly showed keen interest in the SEE Plan, LeEco’s integrated and open Ecosystem.

LeEco is a global internet and technology company with multiple internet ecosystems across content, devices, applications and platforms. Founder Jia Yueting announced the SEE (Super Electric Ecosystem) plan, the company’s electric car plan in December 2014, which has attracted a lot of attention in the global automobile industry ever since. LeEco has already teamed up with the global luxury sports car brand Aston Martin, electric car start-up Faraday Future and Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd., and its first concept Super Car will be shown in the upcoming automobile exhibition in Beijing.
