#AutoExpo2016: Sachin Tendulkar launches the all-new BMW 7 Series and the all-new BMW X1 in India

Delhi NCR: The much anticipated sixth generation of the exclusive luxury limousine, the BMW 7 Series, and the all-new premium compact sports activity vehicle BMW X1 were unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 by brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar.

The BMW 7 Series is positioned as the future of luxury, with a blend of bespoke characteristics and intuitive technology that bring alive magical features like Gesture Control, Remote Control Parking*, BMW Display Key, BMW Touch Command System, Wireless Charging and Sky Lounge. Many of these are a first in the automotive world.

It will be available in two distinct design schemes and two diesel variants. While the BMW 730Ld M Sport celebrates the sporty styling and interiors, the BMW 730Ld Design Pure Excellence indulges in style with elegant contours and luxurious features.

The BMW 730Ld Design Pure Excellence is also available as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) which offers customers the choice of having a diesel engine and individualizing it with optional equipment and customizations from BMW Individual. There are two petrol variants as well – the BMW 750Li Design Pure Excellence and the BMW 750Li M Sport. They are imported as CBU and can be individualized with optional equipment and customizations from BMW Individual.

The all-new BMW X1 is an urban all-rounder and combines the best of city driving with soft-road performance. It comes in three design schemes to choose from – Expedition, xLine and M Sport, and is available in a diesel variant with a new eight-speed steptronic automatic transmission. The TwinPower Turbo 1,995 cc four- cylinder diesel engine delivers a power output of 140 kW/ 190 hp, and high torque of 400 Nm is available at just 1,750-2,500 rpm. The X1sDrive 20d (Expedition and xLine) accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds with a top speed of 222 km/h. The X1xDrive 20d (xLine and M Sport) accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 219 km/h.

BMW X1 M Sport xDrive20d: INR 39,90,000Both vehicles will be locally produced at BMW Plant Chennai and bookings are open at BMW dealerships. Deliveries for the new BMW X1 will start from April 2016.

Also on display at the BMW India pavilion at Auto Expo 2016 are the new BMW 3 Series, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 5 Series, the BMW 7 Series, the BMW X1, the BMW X3, the BMW X5, the BMW M4 Coupe, the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, the BMW X6 M, the BMW Z4 and the BMW i8.
