#AutoExpo2016: Mercedes-Benz unveils its global SUV, the GLC and the stunning S-Class Cabriolet
The S-Class Cabriolet is the 6th variant of the current S-Class family and the first open top luxury four-seater from Mercedes-Benz since 1971. The 4663 cc V8 engine of the S 500 Cabrio has an output of 335 kW (455 hp) and a peak torque of 700 Nm from 1800 rpm. The multilayer soft top can be opened and closed in just 20 seconds via a switch in the central console on the move, upto a speed of 60 km/h.
The GLC is a sporty SUV combining driving comfort with on-road and off-road capabilities. It offers ‘Dynamic Select’ handling control system, engineered for off-roading, apart from the five driving modes of ‘Eco’, ‘Comfort’, ‘Sport’, ‘Sport+’ and ‘Individual’, which come as standard. The 9G-Tronic automatic transmission also comes as standard for the GLC 300 4Matic.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Guard is a special protection vehicle that meets highest standards of safety against explosives, ballistics and sniper rifles. The protective components are integrated early into the vehicle development and body shell construction, ensuring that the appearance of the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Guard remains virtually unchanged inside out.
