Posted on

New Delhi, 07 January 2016: One of India’s most successful cars ever, the Maruti Suzuki DZire, has been launched with the Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology. After the Celerio, Alto K10 and WagonR, this is the first diesel and fourth model in Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio to be equipped with the AGS technology.

The best-selling sedan would now give customers comfort and convenience with the two-pedal technology, especially in congested city conditions. The AGS transmission will be available in the top end ZDi variant of DZire and priced at INR 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) as against INR 7.90 for the manual transmission.

The Auto Gear Shift (AGS) is a clutch-less two-pedal technology that allows customers freedom from changing gears, so that they can enjoy the convenience of automatic driving at an affordable cost without compromising on the fuel efficiency. The DZire with AGS will deliver a fuel efficiency of 26.59 km/l*, which is the same as the manual transmission.
