Tata Bolt hatch and sedan reach South African shores

Johannesburg, 07 October 2015: Tata Motors has launched the Bolt hatch and sedan in South Africa. Manufactured in Pune, India, the Bolt range will extend Tata’s passenger product portfolio in South Africa.

The Bolt sports a stylish design and has a new design language, and both the dynamic sedan and the sporty hatchback version are packed with segment first connectivity technology.

Powered by the Revotron 1.2L Turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) petrol engine, they come with a Multi-Drive mode that enables switching between the default, ECO and CITY mode. The Bolt XT version sedan comes with the ConnectNext experience which features a 5” ConnectNext Touchscreen, Infotainment and acoustic engineering by HARMAN, Advance voice command recognition, SMS notification and read outs and Fully Automatic Temperature Controls on the touchscreen.

The vehicles were launched by Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors along with Manny de Canha, CEO of Associated Motor Holdings Pty Ltd., who is the local distributor for Tata passenger cars and light commercial vehicle. The Bolt hatchback price starts at R132 995 (incl. VAT), while the Bolt sedan price starts at R142 995 (incl. VAT). The vehicles will be available across 43 dealerships in two trims XMS and XT, and in a choice of 5 colours.
