Mahindra launches the TUV300 at a starting price of INR 6.90 lacs

Pune, 10 September 2015: Mahindra today unveiled its new sports utility vehicle, the TUV300 at Chakan in Pune, Maharashtra. Designed in-house and built on an all-new platform, the TUV300 is a true blue ‘Make in India’ vehicle that is inspired by a battle tank and has the visible tough, rugged DNA of a Mahindra.

The TUV300 has a 7-seater (5+2) configuration, and looks tough & masculine. It has an imposing front fascia, high ground clearance and a rear-mounted spare wheel. An aggressive bold grille with chrome inserts, static bending headlamps, ski racks and sporty alloy wheels are some of the other exterior design highlights.

The interiors have a dual tone black & beige theme, a hexagon-shaped center bezel, piano-black centre fascia, an infotainment system with 2 din audio, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, steering-mounted audio & phone controls and a sporty twin pod instrument cluster. It has 720 ltrs. of expandable boot space, comfortable seats, premium upholstery, driver and co-driver armrests and lumbar support for front row seats.

It comes loaded with a host of technology features like brake energy regeneration, Intellipark Reverse Assist, Voice Messaging System, Driver Information System, Follow me home & Lead me to vehicle headlamps, Mahindra’s BlueSense mobile app and Micro-Hybrid Technology.

The TUV300 is powered by the advanced 1.5 litre mHawk80 diesel engine with a 2-stage turbocharger that delivers 61.5 kW (84 Bhp) & 230 Nm torque. This will be India’s only SUV with autoSHIFT Automated Manual Transmission Technology (AMT) and comes with an ECO mode that ensures ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 18.49 km/l.

The TUV300 has a toughened high strength steel body shell, hydro-formed crush tips, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and automatic door lock. The TUV300 would be available at dealerships across India from today, at a starting price of INR 6.90* lac for the T4 variant and INR 9.12* lacs for the top end T8 autoSHIFT variant. There are 7 variants in all, and 6 attractive color option.
