Mumbai, 28 July 2015: Mahindra & Mahindra launched the Automatic variant of its New Generation Scorpio today. The new transmission option will be available on the top-end S10 variant of the new Scorpio at a price of INR 13.13 lacs (ex-showroom Delhi, 2WD).
The Scorpio was launched more than a decade ago and since then has seen regular upgrades in order to stay relevant to the changing dynamics of the SUV market. It was the first Indian SUV to launch an automatic transmission in 2008 and now follows it up with an automatic option on Scorpio’s New Generation Platform.
The new Scorpio will be the only SUV in its class to offer a 6-speed automatic transmission with 4WD as an option. The new transmission combines the Scorpio’s characteristic ruggedness with functional practicality, combining the space and performance of a true-blue SUV with advanced safety and comfort features. Key features include a new Hi-Tech 15 cm (6 inch) Touch Screen Infotainment System, Fully Automatic Temperature Control, a new futuristic instrument cluster, Dual Front Airbags, 17″ Alloy Wheels, Height-adjustable Driver’s Seat, Smart Rain and Light Sensors and Tyre-tronics.
