The XUV500 Xclusive Edition by Mahindra is packed with affordable luxury

Mumbai, 23 February 2015: Mahindra launched the XUV500 Xclusive Edition at an ex-showroom price INR 14.48 Lacs today. Built on its current top end variant the W8, only 700 vehicles of this limited edition will be produced. The vehicle has a host of luxury features such as electric sunroof, reverse camera, voice messaging system, sporty aluminum pedals, grey alloy wheels, 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat (optional), illuminated scuff plates and anti- pinch driver window. The model has been built to incorporate feedback from customers, and is an attempt to inspire renewed interest in the vehicle that took the market by storm when it was launched a few years back.

The performance of the XUV500 Xclusive Edition is the same as the W8 variant and comes with a mHawk engine, 140 bhp (103Kw) output, 330Nm torque, and a 6-speed transmission with a 5th Generation Variable Geometry Turbocharger.

There is a 6” touch screen Infotainment System with GPS, DVD, CD, MP3, FM, USB, iPod connectivity; complete Driver Information System, Micro Hybrid technology, Fully Automatic Temperature Control with dual HVAC, static-bending projector headlamps with LED parking lights, Voice Commands, Cruise & Audio Controls on steering wheel; Smart Rain & Light sensors; Tyretronics (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System); intellipark (Reverse Parking Assist System); Power-foldable and adjustable ORVMs.

In terms of safety features, the XUV500 Xclusive Edition is equipped with 6 Airbags (front, side and curtain), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Rollover Mitigation, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill Hold Control and Hill Descent Control. Flat-folding 2nd and 3rd row seats, lounge-like mood lighting, tilt and telescopic steering add to passenger comfort and convenience.
