Hyundai launches the all-new 4S Fluidic Verna. Price starts at INR 7.7 lacs

New Delhi, 18 February 2015: Hyundai Motor India launched the all-new 4S Fluidic Verna today at the Taj Palace, New Delhi. First introduced in the year 2006, the Verna has already sold over 2.3 million units across 66 countries around the world. With the new upgrade, Hyundai aims to set yet another new benchmark in the mid to high sedan segment.The new Verna embodies the best of Hyundai’s modern-premium brand power and delivers maximum driving pleasure and confidence. The sporty, premium design, best in class comfort and high fuel efficiency should meet and exceed customers’ expectations within the segment. The facelifted Verna has established world class safety standards in the automobile industry and combines state-of-the-art technology and engineering with its sharp signature fluidic design.

On the exterior, the wing shaped radiator grille with chrome gives the vehicle a premium appeal. The projector headlamps and boomerang shape fog lamps, 16” diamond-cut alloy wheels, elongated wraparound tail lamp with LED effect and two tone rear bumper give it a sporty flair.

On the inside, the vehicle is feature rich with an emphasis on ergonomics and practical organized space. Well contoured front and rear seats with good thigh support, height adjustable driver seat, rear seat arm rest with cup holders, ample legroom & shoulder room for 5 passengers and a spacious boot are some of the highlights.

Driving comfort is enhanced with a multi function tilt and telescopic steering with audio & bluetooth control. The entertainment console features an integrated 2 DIN Bluetooth Audio with 1 GB internal memory and 6 speakers.

Tech touches that delight include the smart key with push button start, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, escort function and adjustable and foldable outside mirrors.

Safety standards have been improved to provide for a segment unique 6-air bags. Several other features like impact sensing auto door unlock, fully automatic temperature control (FATC) with cluster ionizer, centre armrest with sliding storage function and a cooled glove box have been introduced in the segment for the first time.

The Verna has been developed as a global vehicle for markets worldwide. The R&D team in Korea conducted research and detailed studies to understand customer needs across different markets, for different road condition, climatic condition and driving habits, to come up with a vehicle that meets customers expectations across the globe. The car has been tested in the harsh conditions of Death Valley, USA, the freezing conditions of Russia, the treacherous conditions of China and the Frozen Lake of Sweden. Qualifying the Global Safety Test and receiving high 5-star ratings from N-CAP worldwide has made Verna the safest mid-size car. 4S Fluidic Verna has also been rated “Good” by The US Government Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The prices for the new 4S Verna start at INR 7.7 lacs for the base 1.4 litre petrol, and goes up to INR 10.1 lacs for the top end 1.6 petrol. The diesel variant starts at INR 8.9 lacs for the base 1.4 litre and goes up to INR 12.2 lacs for the 1.6 diesel automatic transmission. The vehicle has an ARAI certified mileage of 17.4 kmpl for the petrol version and 24.8 kmpl for the diesel version.
