Malaysia, 06 September 2015: Indian driver Aditya Patel, finished fifth in race two of the fourth round of the Audi R8 LMS Cup in Malaysia. Starting fourth for the first race, Patel found himself in the path of a spinning Marchee Lee while fighting for the lead on turn two of the first lap. While Lee recovered from the spin, Aditya was forced to retire with a damaged car.

Aditya started last on the grid for race two, since he had not recorded a lap time in race one. He fought a gritty race up to fifth only to finish right behind the pole sitter, Alex Yoong, who finished fourth. The race was won by Marchee Lee of Hong Kong.

It wasn’t the most ideal weekend for the Indian, who is supported by Audi India, JK Tyres and Jubilant; although the consolation was an exciting second race, where he moved up through the field having started last.
