Tata Tiago crosses 2 lac units milestone

Mumbai, 15 February 2019: Tata Motors has successfully reached the milestone of selling 2 lac units of its hatchback Tiago in the Indian market. Launched in April 2016, the Tiago was the first product launched under the IMPACT Design philosophy and has found favour amongst entry level car buyers. It continues to register positive growth in its third year of production and has been one of the most awarded compact hatchback in India.

In 2017 two AMT variants XZA and XTA were introduced, along with the launch of a special festive edition called Tiago Wizz. Year 2018 saw the introduction of the Tiago NRG, the Urban Toughroader and Tiago JTP, a performance variant. A new top of the line variant in the form of Tiago XZ+ was added subsequently.

With inputs from the Pune, UK and Italy design studios, Tiago sports an exterior design that highlights its compact look and sharp design. The interiors have been crafted for a premium feel. With over 20 utility spaces, it is feature-rich and available in petrol and diesel variants with two engines – Revotron 1.2L (petrol) and Revotorq 1.05L (diesel).

Tiago’s engines have been designed to deliver superior fuel efficiency and a peppy driving experience with a segment-first multi-drive mode feature, which allows a driver to select City and Eco mode depending on driving conditions.
