Tata Motors launches the all new Tigor. Prices start at INR 5.20 lacs

Tata Motors has unveiled the face lifted next generation of its premium compact sedan, Tata Tigor. It will be available in petrol (1.2L Revotron) and diesel (1.05L Revotorq) variants, at a price range of INR 5.20 lacs to 7.28 lacs

The new Tigor comes with a host of premium features. The coupe-like roofline, dual chamber projector headlamps with sparkling chrome finish, 15” dual tone alloys, ORVMs with LED turn indicators and auto fold function are the exterior highlights.

The in-cabin features include a premium black and grey theme coupled with titanium faux leather seats, premium knitted roof liner and rear armrest with cup holders. The car offers height adjustable driver’s seat, scooped out front seat backs for more legroom and class leading head and elbow room for rear passengers. It also comes equipped with a fully automatic temperature control, boot space of 419 ltrs. with wide and clear opening and 24 intelligent spaces for carrying a lot more on the move.

It has a 7” capacitive infotainment with Android Auto and a Harman sound system that includes 4 speakers and 4 tweeters.

The new Tigor holds an energy absorbing body structure made using high strength steel and comes with a safe and reliable architecture with cocoon like safety cell for its passengers, dual airbags as a standard feature and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Corner Stability Control (CSC).

These engines have been refined and optimized to deliver better performance and lower NVH. Improvements have also been done in transmission assembly to reduce vibrations. Multi-Drive Modes continue to be offered and the Tigor comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. An AMT version is available on its XZ variant.

In all the new Tigor has 2 powertrain options, 6 colour options and 5 variants – XE, XM, XZ, XZA and XZ+.
