Fiat Chrysler gears up for 2017 with aggressive plans

Mumbai, 05 January 2017: Fiat has reduced prices up to 7.3% for the Linea range and close to 7% on the Punto EVO range to mark an aggressive beginning to the new year. The new prices effectively bring the Linea range well under the psychological barrier of INR 10.0 lacs. While the base variant of Linea, the 1.4 Petrol Active is the most affordable in its segment at INR 7.25 lacs, the Punto EVO 1.2 Dynamic is the most affordable premium petrol hatchback in its segment at INR 5.45 lacs. Plans for the year also include an overhaul of the existing sales and service network across the country.

Articulating his vision for 2017, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “2017 is a significant year for FCA as we enter a new phase of growth with both our brands – Fiat and Jeep. We want to make this the year of our transformation in our approach towards engaging with existing customers and winning new ones. This thought led us to start the new year by enhancing the value proposition on our feature-rich Linea and Punto EVO, as the first step. This year, we will move the needle on our sales and service network for which we have started implementing significant changes.”

The revisited pricing strategy makes Fiat products more attainable and improve the value proposition for customers. The lower prices also reduce the cost of registration and insurance premium, which makes ownership more affordable. The prices of the Urban Cross and the Avventura were already realigned in 2016 and so was the Abarth Punto which is the most affordable hot-hatch in India today, positioned under INR 10.0 lacs.

1.4 TJet Petrol Emotion 125s: INR 9,90,000

Fiat Punto EVO:
1.2 Petrol Dynamic: INR 5,45,000
1.3 MultiJet Active: INR 6,40,000
1.3 MultiJet Dynamic: INR 7,00,000
1.3 MultiJet Dynamic: INR 7,55,000
