Volkswagen to showcase the Polo GTI at Delhi Motor Show 2016
Mumbai, 28 January 2016: Volkswagen will be unveiling the Polo GTI for its Indian consumers at the Delhi Motor Show next week. The Polo GTI has earned a reputation world-over, for being among the most powerful, dynamic and thrilling carlines in its league, and will be pitched against the recently launched Fiat Abarth Punto in India.
A hot hatch with a racing pedigree, the Polo GTI is a 3-door vehicle that combines exhilarating performance, power and comfort. It is powered by a massive 1.8L TSI turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Once launched, it will be a unique, first of its kind vehicle in the Indian market, and if priced right, can perhaps be an interesting option for young automotive enthusiasts.
