Volkswagen reveals name of its compact sedan. World premiere at Delhi Auto Expo 2016
Mumbai, 20 January 2016: Volkswagen has revealed the name of its yet to be launched compact sedan. It will be called Ameo – a name derived from the Latin word ‘Amo’, meaning ‘I love’. The Ameo will be premiered at the 13th edition of the Delhi Auto Expo which takes place during the first week of February 2016, and promised to combine best-in-class safety features, build quality and a great driving experience.
The Volkswagen Ameo has been designed specifically for the Indian market, and will be manufactured at the company’s Chakan facility. This will be Volkswagen’s first offering in the dynamic compact sedan space.
