Mahindra launches its compact SUV, the KUV100 at a price of INR 4.42 lac onwards

Chakan, January 15, 2016: Mahindra & Mahindra today launched its much awaited compact SUV, the KUV100, which combines aggressive styling with a SUV-like stance, refined and stylish interiors and ample space to comfortably seat six passengers. Launched with safety features like ABS with EBD as standard across the range, it offers dual airbags as optional from the base variant.

Available at Mahindra dealerships across India from today, the KUV100 starts at a very attractive price of INR 4.42 lacs (ex-showroom Pune for the K2 petrol variant) and INR 5.22 lacs (ex-showroom Pune for the K2 diesel variant).

         
Built on an all-new monocoque platform and designed in-house with contemporary styling cues, the KUV100 is an important launch for M&M; perhaps as important as what the Scorpio was. It sports a unique design language, with sculpted exterior and sharp lines, a prominent hood, high belt line and an aggressive front fascia. The muscular body and large square wheel arches establish its dominating road presence and lend it a quintessential SUV stance. Its unique wrap around sunglass like headlamps, premium daytime running lamps, chrome accented fog lamps, spider-design alloy wheels, and double barrel tail lamps all add to its overall appeal.

The KUV comes with a choice of two engines; a 1.2L diesel producing 77 BHP, and a 1.2L petrol engine producing 82 BHP. The petrol engine achieves a fuel economy figure of 18.15 km/l, while the diesel achieves an impressive figure of 25.32 km/l, making it India’s most fuel efficient SUV. The KUV100 is a peppy performer in both engine options and strikes a balance between dynamic performance and high fuel efficiency. The KUV also utilises new technology like an engine Start/Stop system, and Power and ECO driving modes in the diesel. The refined interior compliments the exterior with their spacious and stylish feel, unique flexi 6 seating capacity, intuitive features and innovative storage spaces.
