The Audi S5 Sportback launched at INR 62,95,000

Mumbai, 20 October 2015: Audi has introduced the S5 Sportback in India today. The sporty 5-door coupe is powered by an efficient, supercharged 3.0-litre TFSI quattro® engine with an output of 333 hp (245 kW). The first of its kind vehicle to be launched in the segment, the Audi S5 Sportback is priced at INR 62,95,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai/Delhi).

The V6 3.0 TFSI quattro® engine with 333 hp (245 kW) and 440 Nm torque makes the Audi S5 Sportback a thrilling machine to drive. Mated with the S tronic® dual-clutch transmission, the vehicle does a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.1 seconds, with an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h. Fuel efficiency is at 12.3 km/L and the Auto Engine Start/Stop function helps improve things marginally.

The S5 Sportback comes with an advanced infotainment systems including a Bang & Olufsen Sound System, MMI® Navigation Plus with a 17.78 cm color monitor and 3D navigation. The ten-channel amplifier of the Bang & Olufsen Sound System delivers 505 watts of sound via 14 high-performance speakers concealed behind aluminum-inlay covers.

The distinct exterior design elements include platinum grey insert with horizontal chrome struts on the radiator grille, honeycomb grille in the air inlets with dual chrome trim, angular fog lights, exterior mirror housings in aluminum finish and body coloured sill moldings. The single-frame grille bearing a subtle S5 badge and V6 T badging on the front fenders complete the look.

The interior sports matt brushed inlays, a 3-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction flat bottomed sport steering, shift paddles in aluminium, electric seat adjustment, alcantara upholstery and optional S sport seats in the front with S5 embossing. The power steering, engine management, automatic transmission and automatic air conditioning system can be regulated via the Audi Drive Select which has Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, Efficiency and Individual mode. The Parking System Plus with rear-view camera provides visual and acoustic assistance while parking and manoeuvring.

The Audi S5 Sportsback comes with eight airbags, two of which are dedicated rear-side airbags. The rear centre armrest has a first-aid storage kit and the anti-theft wheel bolts with a rotation ring and code key provide utmost security to the vehicle.
