Mahindra launches the redesigned Thar CRDe at INR 8.03 lacs
Speaking at the launch of the new Thar CRDe, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive, (Automotive) Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, “Since its launch, the Thar has been the face of our tough and rugged DNA, a continuation of our legacy and what Mahindra stands for. Today as we launch the new avatar of this ever popular off-roader, the effort has been to enhance the appeal of a brand that is already a cult. The refreshed Thar is now a sweeter buy, offering features like a mechanical locking rear differential, which further enhances its off-road capability. the front and rear bumpers have been refreshed, and the car now sports rugged wheel arches, side footsteps, and a redesigned canopy. These stylistic changes lend the car a distinctly sporty look, and gives it an unmistakable road presence.
The new Thar also features a completely redesigned interior, with a new black-beige dashboard, premium seats, a redesigned centre bezel, new sporty 3-pod instrument cluster and a new steering wheel and gear knob. The AC vents have also been redesigned and there is a new lockable glove box. A new floor console with cup holders has been provided for added convenience.
Built to tackle any terrain, the new Thar retains its off road capabilities with useful features like its extreme 440 approach angle, 270 departure angle, high ground clearance of 200 mm, powerful 2500cc CRDe engine, and standard 4WD with high & low ratios.
