BMW launches the all new X6 at INR 1.15 crore

Bengaluru, 23 June 2015: BMW today launched the all new X6 in India. The only “Sports Activity Coupe” in the world, the new BMW X6 will be available at dealerships across India as CBU (Completely Built-Up) units from today onwards. The ex-showroom price of the BMW X6 xDrive40d is INR 1,15,00,000.

The design of the new BMW X6 perfectly combines the ruggedness of a BMW X SUV and the elegance and passion of a BMW Coupe. The front now has a wider kidney grille and large front air inlets with horizontal chrome trims. The rear L-shaped tail lights have horizontal light strips with three-dimensional LED Adaptive Light banks, emphasising the wide stance of the car.

The interior has an unmistakably sporty feel, which is generated by the hallmark BMW driver oriented design of the cockpit, the innovative control and display elements, and elevated seating position. The cockpit has clean lines which streak dynamically from the instrument panel into the door panels to form seamlessly designed interior. Special interior colours, exclusive trims and standard Dakota or optional Nappa leather upholstery are available.

The engine powering the new X6 is BMW’s TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in-line diesel engine, which truly mesmerises with outstanding responsiveness and agile power delivery at all speeds. The engine has a maximum output of 313 BHP and produces a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 1500 – 2500 rpm. Such firepower enables the X6 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, and get to a top speed of 240 km/h.

The engine is mated to a new eight-speed sport automatic transmission, which delivers smooth, fast gear changes. At any time, in any gear, the transmission works in perfect harmony with the engine to fully exploit the available power. The driver can also take over control manually, using the shift paddles.

BMW established the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) segment with the introduction of BMW X6, which was a one-of-a-kind car, and the second generation further bridges the gap between a full on off roader and a sports coupe, all the while offering its occupants the highest level of luxury. The all-new BMW X6 with the M Sport package sees BMW once again setting the benchmark for extravagant and emotive design, luxurious interiors and extensive customization options.
