Audi clinches its second victory this season at WEC, Spa, Belgium

Ingolstadt/Spa, 2 May, 2015: On the challenging track at Spa, Belgium, Marcel Fässler (CH), André Lotterer (D) and Benoît Tréluyer (F) clinched their second victory this season and the tenth WEC success in total, in what was a thrilling endurance race for team Audi.

Over 54,000 fans witnessed a gripping battle for the first position, with the lead changing after each pit stop. Four hours into the race, André Lotterer in the hybrid sports car took Audi into the lead for the first time and the battle came to a head in the final stages when 90 minutes before the end, Benoît Tréluyer took the top spot from Porsche driver Marc Lieb. The Frenchman saw the checkered flag with an advantage of 13.424 seconds.

Fässler/Lotterer/Tréluyer had an advantage of seven points before the race which has now extended to fourteen points before the Le Mans 24 Hours scheduled on 13 and 14 June, 2015.
