BMW associates with the Hero Indian Open 2015 as ‘Luxury Mobility Partner’

New Delhi, 22 February 2015: The 51st edition of Hero Indian Open was held from 19 to 22 February 2015 at the Delhi Golf Club and the four day golf tournament also debuted as co-sanctioned with the European Tour this year. BMW India was the exclusive ‘Luxury Mobility Partner’ at the event this year and the attraction was the Hole-in-One challenge; where the golfer who achieves it could win the all-new BMW i8 which was launched in India 18 February 2015.

Anirban Lahiri was the winner and SSP Chawrasia the runner up at the Hero Indian Open 2015. Top golfers from the world over competed to win the total prize money worth US$ 1.5 million. Spanish professional golfer Miguel Ángel Jiménez, one of the most charismatic players in the world was seen along with golf stalwarts from Europe and Asia like Jeev Milkha Singh, Jyoti Randhawa, Shiv Kapur, Thaworn Wiratchant, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Rikard Karlberg and Arjun Atwal among others.

Golf has been an integral part of sports engagement at the BMW Group. With the world of golf in India witnessing progressive development, the company has engaged with the sport at several levels, including the BMW Golf Cup International in India and Golf Clinics in several cities.
