The experience of riding in a high performance car is exhilarating. Feeling the forces of the universe being defied and being at the centre of it all is not just surreal, but magical. And that’s exactly how it was at the launch of the all new BMW M3 and the M4 Coupé, an exclusive event flagged off by brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar at the Buddh International Circuit.

Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President of BMW Group India said, “For generations, BMW M GmbH has been combining thoroughbred motor racing genes with uncompromising everyday usability. A new chapter in the fascinating history of high-performance sports cars from BMW M GmbH is beginning. The all-new BMW M3 and the all-new BMW M4 Coupé are sharing pole position. Meticulous and passion-fuelled development has underpinned the creation of two high-performance sports cars that set new standards in terms of overall concept, precision and agility.”

He also added, “The all-new BMW M3 and the all-new BMW M4 Coupé, confront the laws of physics – two icons that yet again set new standards with unprecedented precision. Designed using motor sport technology for pure dynamics at the performance limits, they don’t just push the physical limits but also extend the boundaries for the driver. Making what was once thought impossible, possible – when man and machine become one.”

We took a few laps of the Buddh International Circuit in the new M3, M4, M5 and M6 Gran Coupé, with professional BMW drivers at the helm, touching a heady 240 km/h on the straights. The new M engine astounds with its output of 431BHP as well as with its tremendous power development, which provides considerably more oomph in the lower rev ranges. The engine responds enthusiastically to boost the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds with a limited top speed of 250 km/h.

The cars felt agile on the tightest bends, and going sideways was especially fun. The stability of the cars while drifting was exceptional. The M3 and the M4 Coupé deliver superior performance with their newly developed in-line six engine and a lightweight design concept complemented by an especially high-quality and elegant ambience.

The all-new BMW M3 and the all-new BMW M4 Coupé are available at BMW dealerships across India as CBU (Completely Built-Up) units from today.

The all India ex-showroom prices are:
The all-new BMW M3 : INR 11,980,000
The all-new BMW M4 Coupé : INR 12,180,000
